Chris Neadham’s Guide To Dancing

It’s that time again bloggers: time to hit the mosh pit and dance your stripey socks off!!

Of course it’s entirely up to you as to how you dance. I myself prefer to mix things up with

a) The Robot

b) Electric Boogaloo

c) Pogo

or

d) a combo of all of these, but only if things get really major!

A lot of the time I just find myself quietly bogling away, which suits me just fine :)

Cheryl Cole Joins The X Factor

Guilty!!

Talk about role reversal…

Back in 2002 Cheryl Tweedy was a restaurant waitress hoping to make it big on Pop Idol: The Rivals. Fast-forward six years and the Geordie sparrow (now Cheryl Cole and one fifth of the incredible GIRLS ALOUD) will be replacing Sharon Osbourne as one of the judges on The X Factor!!!

Old Machines Singing The Blues…

Okay, so I’m pretty sure this is how The Matrix started. First the machines start singing (in this case an amazing version of Radiohead’s ‘Nude’), then they start dancing and before you know it you’ve got a socket in the back of your head and you’re being used as a human battery.

Nevermind… it’s inevitable I guess. Maybe we should just merge with the machines now, like Stephen Hawking and Robocop, and co-exist peacefully with our inner technology?

Favourite Guitar Song? Let Me Think…

Yesterday I was googling away, looking for new bands to check out and download, when I stumbled across Rolling Stone magazine’s list of Top 100 guitar songs!

It’s pretty long, but interesting, with an excellent Top 5 (three of which are British!! Woooo!):

1. ‘Johnny B. Goode’ - Chuck Berry:

Week 10 - Backstage At The Nokia Green Room

Happy Monday bloggers!!

This weekend’s been pretty mental… even by my crazy standards!

The site nearly went into meltdown on Sunday as thousands of you logged on to watch our exclusive behind the scenes content, but even better than that, over 17,000 of you logged onto my YouTube channel to check out my interview with The Jonas Brothers:

At one point it pushed my channel to the dizzy heights of 15th Most Viewed in the UK!!!! Woooo!!! I imagine that this is how Will Young felt when he won Pop Idol!! Or how Sir Walter Raleigh felt when he realised that he’d never again have to make chips from turnips :)

Album Of The Week: The Zutons - You Can Do Anything

The Zutons - You Can Do Anything

It’s been AGES since we’ve heard anything from The Zutons… God nammit I’ve missed that minxy little Liverpudlian and the boys!

While they’ve been away we’ve had Mark Ronson’s corking version of ‘Valerie’ featuring Amy Winehouse to keep our ears on the ball (released in October 2007, it’s only just dropped out of the charts!!!), but in my worthless (not really) opinion, no matter how good a cover is, the original tends to be better :) or at least more original!

All About The Syllables…

My regular trawl through YouTube has been pretty productive this week bloggers.

Among the stuff I found was a really cool interactive YouTube magic trick, lots of reactions to something two girls did with a cup and Weezer’s excellent new video which is jam-packed with YouTube celebrities singing along to the band’s new single ‘Pork & Beans’.

But the best find of all was a video of Pete Doherty reading war poetry!

It’s beautiful, but strangely creepy, although that might be down to him looking a bit knackered. Anyway, it got me thinking about poetry, or ‘acapella rap’ as I like to call it…
